Dragonfly – Episode 24/ Griffon riders look down as the Forsaken reach an open area in Stormgryph Castle. A fight begins as a storm rages around everyone.
The heroes continue to explore the Windriders’ flying castle as they search for a mysterious necromancer. They soon find more undead are fighting alongside the bandits. One of the characters is killed as the battle intensifies. Another character runs into the bandit that killed her lover. Later, a strange trap surprises two of the party.

Dragonfly – Episode 23/ Our heroes continue the assault on Stormgryph Castle. The Forsaken meet stiff resistance from the Windriders bandit clan.

The party continue to eliminate all bandits they meet and search for Seveer’s henchman, an evil necromancer. At one point the party have a chance to rest and/or move peacefully through the castle. Lynne makes a decision that takes these options off the table.

Dragonfly – Episode 21/ The party begins the episode divided. Darrion and Temdreh are on the Grace, a pirate ship, heading south from Balthos. Thorn is on the Dragonfly headed north on the same river. When the two ships meet, emotions boil over!
After the party reunites, they head for the village of Loh. Lynne assumes the villagers must worship his deity Loh. However, she soon learns this is not the case. The Quickblades bandit clan and the Pirate Queens worship a mysterious being. Once in Loh, the party explores the settlement and Thorn meets with the bandit lord, Reeva Rash. The scantily-clad bandit tells the high elf about the mission to attack Stormgryph Castle the following day.

Chronicles of Nox/Episode 12

Our heroes watch in horror as Oswald Myrr is carried off by a horde of orcs. Then a massive Voth airship arrives! An even larger surprise is revealed moments later!

Working quickly, the Voth take possession of the legendary wizard and fly off.
The Forsaken bravely take a second airship all the way to the mysterious continent of Voth. Once there they befriend a Voth elder and try to find out about the strange elves.

Chronicles of Nox/Episode 11

Surprises abound!

The Forsaken find themselves trapped in the dungeon of Castle Rathbone. They have to fight hobgoblins, a helmed horror, and demon-worshiping cultists to escape. Our heroes also rescue a young woman with no memory of her past.

After meeting with Quarios, the party decide their next move. They buy supplies and leave the young woman with their patron. Quarios sends them on another mission to Naern with Gabby Pollywoggle. The high elf says he believes he has located the most prized of all of Oswald Myrr’s artifacts, the Staff of Power. After arriving in Naern, the party mount magical horses and ride into a nearby forest. Once there they discover Oswald’s manor, protected by a few enchantments.

The real surprises begin to roll forth when the Forsaken find the legendary Oswald Myrr. He warns them that they must find the staff before the enemy. Then a contingent of orcs and orc shamans show up and kidnap the wizard with magic. As the party mounts up to follow the horde of humanoids, a massive object appears in the sky and blocks out the sun. Our heroes look skyward in wonder as a loud humming sound fills their ears.

Dragonfly – Episode 19/ After fleeing Kay on their ship the Dragonfly, our party head east to warn the other coastal villages. Taking the survivors from their home village, the heroes are eager to escape the darkness sweeping across the land. The first stop is Oren, a tiny, quiet village with a bold female ranger in charge. After the party can’t convince the villagers to evacuate, they decide to seek out the village elders. They uncover much more than they expected.
The next stop is the village of Lucen, high above on cliffs overlooking the Salamar Sea. This visit doesn’t go well after Lynne cannot hold her tongue. The paladin and cleric both contract lycanthropy in a nasty battle.

Later, Lynne and Thorn are both transformed into werewolves after arriving at the village of Freyas. After Lynne tosses Thorn into the ocean, the two werewolves swim towards the beach. Their monster forms are bathed in the moonlight shining on the waves. Fisherfolk stand at the beach unaware of what is happening.

Dragonfly – Episode 17/ The party began their adventures in the seaside village of Laresh. They had just killed the witch Dax and followed strange tracks into a nearby well.
After exploring the sewers for a while, the party encountered a black pudding. The fight was endless as the heroes didn’t know how to deal with the ooze. Later they discovered huge cauldrons and realized someone was brewing a powerful spell. Eventually the party found Bathilda the witch was in the sewers. They fought the witch bravely but she managed to escape. To their surprise the adventurers found a kraken priest tied up in the witch’s chamber. After exiting the sewers the party found members of Captain Kale’s Pirates and the Rock Ghosts bandit clan boarding a ghost ship.

Then massive waves began to pound the coast and everyone knew the kraken was coming. The Forsaken alerted the guards and saved hundreds of commoners. They found they had a way to escape the sea creature and got onto a friendly bronze dragon. Then the enormous monster arrived. As the visions had shown, the witch king was riding the kraken. But then the unexpected happened…

Seveer unleashed a powerful destructive spell that destroyed Laresh and most of the coast. A dark fog and sickness began to race across the land towards the east. Our heroes flew away on the bronze dragon looking back at the aftermath of the witch king’s spell. They stared at each other in a stunned silence….

The West of the Wood group. Dragonfly Episode 9, A World of Myrr campaign

Our weekly D&D group, West of the Wood, plays our latest session. This is the Dragonfly campaign, episode 9. These adventurers have chosen the name ‘The Foresaken’.

The group include; Lynne the gensai cleric, Takyon the human fighter, Aenir the half-elf sorcerer, Ikki the human monk, Davhorn the aasimar sorcerer, Temdreh the tiefling bard, and Urlic the human monk.

The party find themselves in the Old Wood in western Myrr. This area is a dense dark forest that has little light and numerous undead. There aren’t even many settlements in the woods. The Foresaken have just been ambushed by goblins they had made a deal with. The goblins were supposed to buy the two hundred specialized crossbows the party had stolen from under the nose of the Hill King. However, the goblins attempted to kill the heroes instead. Unfortunately, Raven the barbarian was killed in the ambush. What will the party do next?

This is the second recording of our Sunday night D&D group. This time Joshua steps in as the guest DM and runs Storm King’s Thunder.

The characters in Joshua’s Forgotten Realms campaign include; Vaelarian Galinai/half-elf paladin (Andrew), Dark/duergar ranger (Sarah), Tattoa/dragonborn barbarian (Jeff), Andar Greenbottle/halfling fighter (Shane), Lili Knackle/gnome bard (Keith), and Alphaba/dragonborn sorcerer (Ana). It is a 7th level party.
